It's a caster that I designed in Inventor. I 3D printed the wheel, hand crafted the metal housing (using flat sheet metal, a grinder, an a hammer), cut down some 1/4 inch rod and hand cut the threads. The only things I bought were the bearings and nylon washers. I topped it off with some acorn nuts that I had laying around.

Nice! That looks like some high quality 3d printing too, I've always wanted to get one of the smaller ones, like a Makerbot or something

I thought your wheel turned out perfectly.

Nah, on the side that you can't see, part of the inside of the outer lip of wheel collapsed a bit, so it's a little lopsided. Also it uses a mystery scale, so I just got lucky that I found a bearing that fit.

You should get a makerbot I want one and I hear they are the best.
